St John’s Cathedral Children’s Choir was established in May 2006 with the aim of acquainting children with good church music through singing and various training programmes. Apart from singing regularly at the monthly 9.00am ‘Worship for All’ service, the Choir also participates in important feast days.
Over the years, the Choir has taken part in concerts and special occasions such as an African Drum performance at the 2011 Michaelmas Fair, the ‘Songs of Praise’ gathering - a celebration for the 10th Anniversary of the establishment of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Province in May 2009, ‘Music for Everyone’ Fundraising Concert in 2008, and the 160th Anniversary of the Laying of the Foundation Stone Concert of the Cathedral in 2007.
The Choir practises every Sunday morning from 10:30am to 11:30am in the Fanny Li Hall and we always welcome interested children who are 7 or above to join us. For any enquiries, please contact Director of Music Mr Felix Yeung.
