A New Eucharist on Tuesdays
Starting from 5th July 2022 there will be a said Eucharist in the Cathedral every Tuesday lunchtime at 1.15pm.
St John's Cathedral is quite unique in being one of the few Anglican churches here in Hong Kong where the Eucharist is offered daily. Over the years this has helped to develop the deep spirituality of our Cathedral. This liturgical tradition proclaims strongly that we are not just an ancient monument but a living place of worship for the city and province - as Jacob said in Genesis 28:17 ‘How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.’ We hope that this extra lunchtime celebration will provide an opportunity for those who live or work in Central to worship God at a convenient time during their busy day.
